Bob Renaud is an artist originally from DeWitt, New York . Having an interest in both art and athletics, he was able to pursue both passions at the college level. Bob played football for Alfred University where he majored in Fine Art and minored in Education. He received both his BFA and Masters in Art Education from Alfred University.

Bob has retired after 32 years as an Art Instructor at Carthage High School in Upstate NY where he also acted as a coach for both Football and Volleyball. He now is pursuing his art fulltime.
Personally, the artist enjoys working in graphite, colored pencil, and acrylic paint, often mixing the mediums and creating his own one-of-a-kind frames that accentuates his work. The artist has been recognized for his work locally and internationally.

Bob has permanent installments of his work, including:

*Vatican Collection in Rome, Italy.

* Permanent Museum Collection of The Shrine to the North American Martyrs in Aureisville, NY.

* Archeological archives of the National Museum of Ireland.

* St James Catholic Church in Carthage, New York where three of his works were dedicated in the vestibule of the church.

* St. Mary’s Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Mexico, New York.

* A commissioned two paneled mural at Stefano's Family Restaurant in Carthage, New York.

The artist has completed three paintings of Saint Kateri Tekakwitha who was the first Native American to be declared a saint by the Catholic Church. St. Kateri (pronounced in native tongue as Gah- dah-lee) was a Native American Woman born outside the Albany, New York area who lived in the 1600's. She was known for her strong faith and compassion. One of Bob's paintings of Kateri  was purchased by affiliates of the Shrine of North American Martyrs dedicated to Kateri in Auresville, New York. A second painting of Saint Kateri  was purchased by an individual which upon a later date was presented to Pope Benedict XVI. That work of art is now a documented work of art of the Vatican Collection in Rome, Italy. A third painting of St. Kateri was created specifically for the canonization celebration at the Shrine in Auriesville in October of 2012 where Bob was invited as a special guest artist. The artist's work can also be found in many personal collections, sold prints and published in the young adult book, 'Eye on the Iditarod ~ Aisling's Quest, written by author Hope Marston under Windward Press.

Bob and his wife, Mary Beth, have two grown children. They currently reside in Chester, SC. His love of God and family can be seen in all his works and it's because of his passion for art that he enjoys sharing his knowledge with the next generation.
